Fall Fun!
September 30 - October 4
This week we explored more fall/autumn music! Tuesday was the first day of October so I thought it would be fun to introduce the new season with music. We utilized tambourines to tap along with our songs and dance to the music at the end of our sessions by exploring how loud and soft they could play. We talked about how sometimes loud noises make our friends uncomfortable so we practiced recognizing when we were too loud. Seeing the little ones engage with the tambourines was the highlight of my week! Counting was practiced again fast and slow with 10 Little Pumpkins (with fun sparkly pumpkins thanks to Ms. Kelly V!). We also sang about different types of apples, colored leaves, and animals like the owl and squirrel. We got up and moving while listening to A Hippo in My Locker and Knees Up Mother Brown. I also brought along my special friend, Mr. Much, whom I introduced to the class in song form! He was a huge hit with the younger kids.
Songs this week included:
10 Little Pumpkins
I love Apples
Orange Yellow Red and Brown
Owl Song
Grey Squirrel
Autumn Leaves
Scarecrow Scarecrow
Mr. Munch
Row Row Row Your Boat
I'm a Little Scarecrow
