MARCHING BAND!
With Special Guest Anna Garza

We are so thankful for our special guest, JN Alumni Anna Garza! Anna is the daughter of our cook, Kathy Garza. She attended JN for years and now is a very successful musician and student at Spring Lake high school!  Anna plays many instruments but masters in saxophone. She also brought her flute to share with students today! We had a lot of fun listening to her play several different marching selections. She showed us how her music is clipped to her instrument, and even showed us some fancy marching band steps! At the end of class, we got out our drum and practiced taking some rhythmic steps together around the rec room. "HEEL--TOE--HEEL--TOE!"

Thanks so much to Anna for taking time out of her busy summer to be here this morning. Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page for some questions you can ask your pre-sechooler or school-ager today! =)

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR CHILD TODAY:

1. What instruments did Anna bring today? Saxophone, flute

2. Can you show me how you march?
