Week of March 27, 2017

This week, the kids learned about all the different ways that our body can create music. Clapping our hands, stomping our feet, snapping our fingers, and clicking our tongues is a great way to make music. With the older children, we made patterns with clapping, stomping, and snapping our fingers. With the younger children, we practiced mirroring. We also had some fun with rhythms on the drum. We did fast rhythms and slow rhythms.

Questions to ask your child this week:
1. How do you make music with your body?
2. What kinds of rhythms can you make? Fast and slow
