PEANUT, PEANUT BUTTER....AND JELLY!

We had fun singing the classic "PB& J" tunes this week in music class! From "Peanut, Peanut Butter...& Jelly" to a fun "PB&J" fingerplay (see below) plus stretches, the kids had fun talking and singing about this beloved sandwich combo (and of course, no peanuts were eaten!)

We also got some practice in listing step-by-step instructions as we recalled how to actually make the sandwich (see the four's real time explanation above on how to make one!) and what ingredients/actions we would need to take.

While singing our songs we played the drum and also sang/read There Were Ten In The Bed (Scholastic/Calitri) to practice counting and some large motor "rolling" actions. Check out the extender questions below to keep the conversation going!

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR CHILD

1) How do you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Can you tell me the steps?

2) What was the little dog trying to find in the book "There Were Ten In The Bed?" His bone, hidden under the pillow!
