CASTANETS!
There are many different types of castanets! We saw many variations today and even played a game of "castanet memory match" (take a look at pics below!). I printed and laminated matching sets of castanets ranging from plastic to hand-painted wood. There were even some animal themed castanets. The kids VERY much enjoyed playing this game. I've included the PDF of matching castanets as a download for you in case you'd like to print and play at home! :)
We also enjoyed singing movement songs, trying words as rhythms with the castanets and even saying the syllables of our names around the circle!
