THE VIOLA!
________________________
We thoroughly enjoyed a visit from Mr. Lorenzo today with his viola and violin! We joined him in the sanctuary for an introduction to these two members of the string family. Mr. Lorenzo likened the relationship to our own human families and how we look alike. He told the kids that the violin was the baby, and the viola was the teenager. Cello, which we saw a picture of, was the mama, and of course the big double bass would be dad!
We also enjoyed hearing Lorenzo play several pieces of music. Check out the video below for highlights!
Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us, Mr. Lorenzo!
Toddlers and Infants enjoyed this book in class today:
We also had a blast singing "Peekaboo, Now I see" with a large colorful scarf and acting out the songs "Row Row Row your boat" and other favorites! Last but not least, my childhood puppet from the '70s came to visit. Mr. Dog sang "BINGO" for the kids and it was a big hit! :)
Have a great week!
