THE SNARE DRUM!
Drums are always a favorite, and the snappy, high volume "RAT-TAT-TAT" of the snare is certainly no exception! Check out the smiling faces as the kids explored the snare drum today with drumsticks! We learned about the parts of the snare (shown above), learned about how the drum vibrates, and even did a little "impromptu jamming" (see the video below, haha)! Friends also took home a mini-coloring sheet with the snare this afternoon. Don't forget to check out the awesome snare drumming video below of a solo by one seriously talented 11 year old!
