PRESTO VS. LARGO!
This week in music class, we learned all about the musical tempo terms "presto" and "largo"! Presto means very fast, and largo means very slow. We explored these tempos with different selections of classical music, such as "Flight of the Bumblebees", and slow pieces by Chopin.
The kids enjoyed laying on their tummies during class and "finger dancing" (check out the awesome video below!). We also practiced moving our entire bodies to slow and fast beats, and brainstorming about everyday objects or animals that could be considered "presto" or "largo".
The babies also enjoyed bouncing to the beat and moving to the different musical selections that I brought to class!
My apologies for the late blog this week--we had some class rescheduling. =) Enjoy your week and don't forget to check out the extender questions below!
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR CHILD

2) What is largo? Very slow!
