Happy Birthday Jesus!

We had a fun music class today that started with a few birthday tunes dedicated to Jesus! The children sang the traditional birthday song and we also watched an adorable video of the four's class singing "Happy Birthday Jesus" with sign language.
Unfortunately, Youtube wouldn't allow the uploading of the video due to a CMG copyright law. I will try to find a better way to share the video with parents!

A fun highlight of music class was the baby dolls that we used to sing songs with. We talked about Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in swaddling clothes. I used a variation of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star that we sang while rocking our babies:

TWINKLE TWINKLE NORTHERN STAR

Twinkle Twinkle Northern Star
How I wonder what you are
Shining in the sky so bright
Baby Jesus born tonight!
Twinkle Twinkle Northern Star
How I wonder what you are

We also did all of the rocking, swaying, peekaboo and bouncing songs that I typically do with the babies. The kids really enjoyed pretending to be moms and dads with their babies!
