Sing....A Story!
INFANT THROUGH SCHOOL AGE
This week we "sang" stories in music class with two books, the oversized "Down by the station" transportation hole book and also "Barnyard Song", a story about a group of barnyard animals who become sick from one little buzzing bumblebee. It's so much fin to sing books that rhyme. It's easy, too! Even if you aren't the most musical person, you can simply take another familiar tune like "The itsy bitsy spider" or "Row, Row, Row your boat" and try putting the words of your story to the melody. It's a lot of fun and makes the story that much better!
SCHOOL AGE:
Way to go on the Coast Guard Kid's Parade! You did an excellent job! Next year we promise to be behind a more quiet float so that our voices are heard more clearly. :) Thanks for your participation, everyone!
The school age class is also beginning to prepare for a small 4-5 song concert that we will be performing for our granfriends at the Senior Center!
